Volunteering in Quito: community organic orchards (Quito)

Getting away from the tourist routes in Quito, you can blend with over 2,500 communities dedicated to organic agriculture as a new source of income but most importantly, as a way to combat malnourishment. We will get inside Quito's colonial basque, rural Quito, and remote places with communities that will invite you to join their lifestyle and homes. For this activity, we require a minimum of 2 people and a maximum of 8. Part of your donation will go to supplies in centers with orchards that serve populations at risk like street children, homeless shelters, and others. Lunch with the community and water are supplied. Bring sunglasses, running/hiking shoes, we wont accept people in sandals, sunblock and for sure a hat and a raincoat. This activity will require physical effort to work in the orchard. We will need a copy of your travel insurance. An engineer and a bilingual staff member will join your experience in the very heart of Quito.
