Be Kind SG micro sessions (Singapore)

1. Writing collaborative stories for Somali refugee children in Malaysia

Following up on our postcard writing, we will now be writing collaborative stories. Volunteers will write and draw the first panel, children the second panel, and the last panel by volunteers. The final piece will be sent back to the children.

2. Creating pop-up birthday cards for Ren Ci patients

Every 2nd Saturday of the month, volunteers will go to Ren Ci Hospital to bring some cheer to the patients and also celebrate the patients' birthdays. We will be creating simple pop-up birthday cards for this group of patients. Each volunteer can do up to 2 pop-up cards.

3. Draw and create mindfulness colouring sheets for senior residents

We will be drawing, designing and creating mindfulness colouring sheets for the senior residents at Orange Valley Nursing Home. There are many therapeutic benefits associated with colouring and we hope to introduce this creative yet relaxing activity to the residents which may enable them to exercise their minds and promote better motor skills and coordination. See photo example below.
